Kanquer is developed by Dilettante Software LLC. This policy describes the current Kanquer application and kanquer.com website. We will update it before introducing any new collection or sharing of personal data.
The website
Kanquer.com does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking. It records privacy-conscious first-party product events: an anonymous per-tab session ID, page path, referrer hostname, selected button label, video-play event, and timestamp. The session ID lives in session storage and is not a cross-site identifier. Standard server logs may temporarily contain technical request data such as an IP address, requested path, timestamp, and browser information. This information is used only to understand, operate, and secure Kanquer.
Data on your device
The current app stores study settings, drawings, favorites, lookup history, and practice statistics on your device. This data is used to provide the features you choose and is not sold or used to build an advertising profile.
Images, clipboard, and files
Kanquer accesses an image, clipboard contents, or a file only after you choose the corresponding action. Selected images are processed to recognize Japanese text. The current app does not retain a separate copy of the source image after that task.
Speech recognition
If you choose voice search on an Apple device, Kanquer uses Apple’s speech-recognition framework. Audio or transcripts may be processed by Apple depending on your device and system settings. Apple’s handling of that data is governed by Apple’s privacy terms.
Accounts and sync
Optional account and cross-device sync features are still in development. This policy will be revised with retention, deletion, security, and service-provider details before those features are made generally available.
Your choices
You can decline photo, file, microphone, or speech permissions and continue using features that do not require them. You can remove locally stored Kanquer data by deleting it in the app where controls are available or by uninstalling the app.
